Meagan Smith joined the Hope Beyond Today team for a short-term stay January through April 2012. She previously worked at the Center for Academic Service-Learning and Research at Azusa Pacific University (Los Angeles County, CA) and used her skills to help develop a college internship program with Hope Beyond Today. She also led weekly meetings for local youth, taught piano lessons, provided support for distribution projects and created databases to track important ministry information.
Jessica Harding served with Hope Beyond Today for six weeks beginning in early May 2012 immediately following her graduation from Elim Bible Institute. During her internship experience Jessica worked with the Steps of Hope project, distributed textbooks and school uniforms, led a number of youth meetings and taught piano and English lessons for young people. Jessica also participated in weekly church services, vacation Bible schools and other community outreaches. Jessica has passion for children and a heart to really see people’s lives transformed.
Brittany Hojnowski worked as an intern with Hope Beyond Today to complement her studies at Elim Bible Institute. Throughout the six weeks she spent in India, Brittany helped create, prepare and lead two Bible school activity weeks for children; taught English to students and teachers at an HBT partner school; and attended a crusade that was held in the area. Brittany appreciated the opportunity to not only become entrenched in the local culture and learn about the rich history of India, but also to gain valuable ministry experience. “The…experience was emboldening, and learning…. about… the beautiful children here was an experience I will never forget.”
